Garlic and butter mushrooms - Pollob style

    Got this recipe from my cousin Pollob. Side dish that goes well with most things, expecially with mash potato.

    Serves: 6 

    • 500g button mushrooms or cut normal mushrooms
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons black pepper
    • loads of garlic (to taste)
    • 75g - 100g butter
    • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
    • 1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs

    1. Wash the mushrooms and fry in the olive oil over a high heat, sprinkling the salt and pepper over them.
    2. Once you're pretty sure they are close to cooked (the water inside will be released) add the garlic.
    3. Once the garlic has cooked in, add the butter and allow to melt.
    4. Just before you take it off the hob, add the oregano and mixed herbs and allow to cook for another minute or so.
