    A great South African sauce, to turn your steak or burger, pork ribs or grilled chicken into a restaurant experience.

    Makes: 8 or more servings

    • oil for frying
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
    • 125ml water
    • 1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes
    • 250ml tomato sauce
    • 125ml Worcestershire sauce
    • 200ml Mrs Ball's® hot chutney
    • 6 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 tablespoons vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon Tabasco® sauce

    1. In a pot over a medium heat with some oil. Cook the onions and garlic until soft.
    2. Add all the rest of ingredients. Stir to combine and heat through. Reduce heat to low and simmer 30 to 40 minutes.
    3. Serve generous lashings on beautifully cooked steak or burgers.
