Smoked salmon mini tarts

    Super easy yet sophisticated smoked salmon tartlets. These mini tarts make a lovely starter with some green salad.

    Serves: 6 

    • 85g cream cheese, softened
    • 5 tablespoons chopped smoked salmon
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
    • 1 small clove garlic, minced
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 6 puff pastry cases, such as Jus-Rol

    1. Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 6. Line a baking tray with parchment.
    2. Combine the cream cheese, salmon, chives, garlic, salt and pepper and mix well. Divide equally between the 6 puff pastry cases.
    3. Place the cases on the prepared tray and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool slightly before serving.


    Instead of buying the mini pastry cases, you can start with a sheet of puff pastry. Cut the sheet into 6 equal squares and score the sides of each square, about 1cm from the sides. Place the filling in the middle of each square and bake as directed.
