Cider hot dogs

    Cider gives a nice adult kick to the classic hot dog recipe. Top with mustard or melted Cheddar cheese for the perfect BBQ, bonfire night or party food treat.

    Serves: 2 

    • 2 sausages (best quality!)
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 80-100g sauerkraut
    • 100ml cider
    • 2 rolls

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:35min 

    1. Grill or fry your sausages.
    2. In separate pan, fry the onions until soft and brown. Add the sauerkraut, and pour on the cider. Cook until the cider is absorbed and the mixture is no longer wet.
    3. Cut the buns lengthways - add mustard, ketchup, cheese as preferred - add sausage and top with a lashing of the onion and sauerkraut mix. Enjoy!
