Honey herbs rump steaks

    Added honey has made it slightly different than the usual herbs marinade. Marinate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight.

    Serves: 2 

    • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
    • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
    • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
    • 1 clove garlic, chopped
    • 1/2 tablespoon honey
    • a few drops olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon margarine
    • 400g rump steaks
    • salt and black pepper to taste

    1. Marinate steaks with herbs, garlic, honey and olive oil. Cover and leave in fridge for 2 hours or longer.
    2. Heat a non-stick pan and once it's warm, turn to low heat and put in margarine and let it melt for 30 seconds before you start cooking the rumps. Turn heat to medium and leave each side for about 6 minutes. Then flip over and cook for another 6 minutes, depending on how you want it done. Season with salt and pepper.
