This gorgeous recipe is from my daughter's grandmother who visited us from Pakistan. It uses simple ingredients and is very delicious. Never known anyone dislike it yet!

    1. Place chicken, onions and tomatoes in a large pan. Sprinkle garlic powder, ground ginger, chilli powder, turmeric and salt into the pan.
    2. Add the water to the ingredients and bring to the boil; when boiling turn down to a medium heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until the liquid has reduced to half.
    3. Add the oil and cook for a further 5 minutes on a high heat. Serve with rice, naan or chips!

Can't wait that long for the water to reduce? Add chicken gravy granules to quickly thicken.
