Spicy tasty mint chutney

    This is a very easy recipe to make your mint chutney. My husband loves it. I'm sure you'll like it too.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 cloves garlic
    • 1 large bunch fresh mint, leaves only
    • 2 green chillies
    • 1 or 2 red roasted chillies
    • 1 onion, cut into chunks
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 2 tablespoons water, or as needed
    • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves (optional, but gives a nice smell)

    1. Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Roast garlic until tender, about 15 minutes.
    2. Squeeze garlic out of its skin, then add to a blender along with all remaining ingredients. Blend until you have a smooth paste, about 5 minutes.

    Serving suggestion

    Serve with rice and curry or chapati.
