Simple white loaf

    1 hour 50 min

This loaf is simple and easy to make. I recommend it to be done in a mixer, preferably tabletop, with dough hooks.

    1. Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Put the flour and yeast into a bowl and mix together.
    2. Then add the salt and add the water gradually to the mix to form a soft but not sticky dough.
    3. Then wrap the bowl with cling film and leave to rise for roughly 30 minutes until it has doubled in size.
    4. After perform an action called knocking back: to do this just knead the dough with your hands to knock the air out.
    5. Then leave the dough to rise again. Once it has risen a bit more, shape the dough, or put the dough into the loaf tin.
    6. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, about 1 hour.
