The dairy free brownie

    These are the best dairy free brownies you will ever taste - trust me. They're made using non-dairy margarine and dairy free chocolate.

    Serves: 12 

    • 55g dairy free dark chocolate
    • 65g margarine (dairy free)
    • 65g self-raising flour
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 150g caster sugar
    • 55g walnuts, crushed, or dairy free chocolate chips

    1. Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Grease or line a baking tray with baking parchment.
    2. Put chocolate and margarine in bowl and set over a pan of gently simmering water. Leave till melted, then remove from heat.
    3. Mix flour and salt together.
    4. Whisk together the eggs and add vanilla extract.
    5. Add eggs to flour. Stir in melted chocolate and margarine.
    6. Now add the sugar and mix until mixture is smooth. Stir in walnuts or chocolate chips, if using. Pour into the prepared baking tray.
    7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Put a knife through it and if it comes out clean, it is done. If not put it back in for 5 to 10 minutes.
    8. Leave to cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Then enjoy!
