About this recipe:
An alternative to gooseberry crumble. Stir up a quick cake with tart gooseberries and fragrant cinnamon.
125g caster sugar
250g plain flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 170 C / Gas 3. Line a 23cm cake tin.
- Mix all the ingredients together, ensuring the gooseberries are well crushed. Tip into the cake tin.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until cooked - it should be moist.
An alternative to normal gooseberry recipes. I've only made it once and found it a little wet.

Very easy to make and delicious with icecream. I used a loaf tin and found it needed at least 60 mins baking as it was slow to cook in the centre.

Very quick and easy to make, I just threw it all in the food processor then added the gooseberries. Served it whilst warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream - lovely
