About this recipe: A tasty crab treat, these make a fab starter or brunch dish and can be prepared in advance. Serve with green beans and spinach.

Serves: 2 

  • 1 (100g) pack Seafood & Eat It Cornish Brown Crab
  • 225g breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 dash Tabasco® sauce
  • 1 handful grated cheese

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
  2. Mix the crab meat with the breadcrumbs, egg, pepper and Tabasco®.
  3. Spoon into oven-proof ramekins and cover with grated cheese.
  4. Bake in the oven until the mixture is heated through and the cheese is bubbling.

followed this recipe to the letter and I'm sorry to say that it was not good. I double checked the amount of breadcrumbs on the actual sea food and eat it website because there seemed so much (it was correct). It was so dense and dry, very disappointing. Tasted like a dry porridge. Would love to know if it was something I did. Look forward to seeing other reviews. - 16 Feb 2013
