About this recipe: A classic, flavourful chimichurri recipe direct from Argentina! Serve this chimichurri sauce as a traditional accompaniment to steak, or use it as a marinade for chicken before barbecuing. Endless possibilities!


Serves: 6 

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped spring onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  • 180ml olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Puree till combined and slightly smooth, but still a bit chunky. Chill in the fridge overnight, or at least 3 hours, for best results.

To serve

Serve chimichurri over barbecued steaks.
