    30 min

This is one of my favourite recipes, easy to make and delicious, a simple meatball in a tomato and beef stock sauce.

    Serves: 4

    • 500g mince (pork, beef or both)
    • 4 to 5 garlic cloves, crushed
    • 1 egg
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 2 slices bread, soaked in some milk
    • plain flour as needed
    • oil as needed
    • 3 to 4 tablespoons tomato paste
    • 1 beef stock cube
    • 1/2 teaspoon caster sugar

    Prep:20min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:30min

    1. Put the mince, 2 or 3 cloves of the crushed garlic, the egg and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl.
    2. Squeeze all the milk out of the bread and put it with the mince. Mix everything together.
    3. Then put some flour on a plate take some meat with a spoon and roll it in a bit of flour. Make small balls which you can leave like that, or press them with your palms until flat.
    4. Fry the meatballs in a pan with a bit of oil.
    5. When you finished frying all the meatballs put another pan on the heat with a bit of oil and 2 garlic cloves.
    6. Remove the garlic cloves when they start to go soft, then add the tomato paste and the beef cube stock with a mug of water and the sugar.
    7. Leave to simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Add more water if you need to. You can add a teaspoon of flour to thicken the sauce. Serve with mashed potatoes.
