About this recipe: A great party snack - delicious crab, avocado and tarragon salad spooned into homemade toasted bread cups.

Makes: 5 as canapes

  • 4 to 6 slices white bread
  • For the salad
  • 1 pack Seafood & Eat® It White Crab
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • 1 small avocado, sliced
  • 1 lime, juice
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 dash Tabasco® sauce
  • For garnish
  • 1 small handful tarragon
  • parsley (optional)
  • lemon juice

Prep:15min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
  2. Using a rolling pin, flatten the bread slices.
  3. Use a cup to cut circles in the flattened bread, and fold each into a cupcake tin.
  4. Bake in the oven until crisp, about 10 minutes.
  5. Mix the salad ingredients together and spoon into the cooled bread cups.
  6. Garnish with a sprinkling of chopped tarragon, parsley if using and a light squeeze of lemon, then serve.
