Devilled crab

    A great crab meal mixed with cayenne and mustard powder to give it spice and bite. Bake it in shells for a festive presentation.

    Serves: 4 

    • 5 packs Seafood & Eat It® White Crab
    • 100g breadcrumbs
    • 120g celery, finely sliced
    • 150g onion, chopped
    • 125g butter, melted
    • 4 tablespoons milk or cream
    • salt to taste
    • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
    • 1 tablespoon minced sweet green pepper

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Mix the crab meat, crumbs, celery and onion, then moisten with the butter and milk.
    3. Season with salt, mustard, cayenne, parsley and sweet green pepper. Mix thoroughly. Pile into shells or flat individual dishes.
    4. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
    5. Serve immediately.
