About this recipe: This is one of my favourite recipes. It's easy to make, tastes great and the meat just drops right off the bone!

Makes: 12 Chicken wings

  • 100g dark brown soft sugar
  • 1 (465g) bottle honey BBQ sauce (I use HP® sauce)
  • 12 to 16 chicken wings

Prep:15min  ›  Cook:2hr  ›  Ready in:2hr15min

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
  2. In a pot, stir together the brown sugar and BBQ sauce on a very low heat, until the sugar has completely dissolved into the sauce.
  3. Place your wings into a baking dish and pour over the sauce. If you have a cooking brush, use this to get the wings completely covered in the BBQ sauce.
  4. Place in the oven for 2 hours, returning every 30 minutes to brush the wings up with the sauce. With 30 minutes left to cook, sprinkle some sugar over the wings to give it that extra sweet crispy bite.
  5. Remove from oven after 2 hours and leave to sit for 15 minutes or so to let the sauce thicken back up on the wings. Serve and ENJOY!! :D

These wings are great as they can be served with white rice, eaten on their own or even some French fries using the left over sauce as dip.
