Granola bites

    I adore this honeyed mix of dried fruits and grains, to eat just as it is or with a dish of yoghurt. Cut them into small bites for snacking.

    Serves: 10 

    • 200g oats
    • 60g plain flour
    • 4 dark brown soft sugar
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 90g raisins
    • 70g desiccated coconut
    • 75ml honey
    • 70g butter, melted

    1. Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Butter a baking tray or line with baking parchment.
    2. Stir together the oats, flour, dark soft brown sugar and baking powder. Stir in the raisins and the dessicated coconut. Pour in the honey and melted butter and stir until combined. Press into a 20x20cm square in the prepared baking tray.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven until crisp, about 16 minutes. Cool completely; cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.


    Get creative and make this recipe your own! You can add a variety of other dried fruits besides raisins. You can also try adding chopped nuts, sesame seeds, linseeds and / or spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.
