Bring the water to the boil with the ginger and the black tea, and boil for 2 minutes.
Pour in the milk, and simmer over medium heat for 3 or 4 minutes. Stir in the sugar, and simmer a few minutes more until the tea begins to colour the milk, about 2 minutes.
