Recently my friend Daisy had a 50s party, so we made these gorgeous little cakes that look like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry milkshakes. The only thing is that you need old-fashioned castle moulds to get the shape of a milkshake glass.
You can make an icing of 250g icing sugar and 3 to 4 teaspoons boiling water to use instead of the white chocolate.
I'd love to see a picture of these. Next time you make them, can you take a picture and post on the recipe? - 21 May 2012
The sponge was gorgeous but the design is hard for me to make lol time to keep practicing! - 04 Nov 2015
You should meet Greenfingers03 she is creative like you! Try her summertime ice cream (drop dead!!). These milkshake cakes are delicious despite the fact they went a little wrong . Lol!! Do you have any recipes for kids parties? My son's birthday is coming up soon!! I'm already making monster munchies cakes (Greenfinger03's recipe) and a sandcastle cake (ditto). It's a beach party! - 11 May 2014
