Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
Mix the flour, oil, egg, water and lemon juice until well blended and smooth. Roll out the pastry as thinly as possible. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
Arrange the apple slices over the pastry, sprinkle with raisins, sugar and cinnamon. Roll up the strudel and pinch the seams together with your fingertips. Transfer to the prepared baking tray, placing the strudel seam side down.
Bake the strudel for 45 minutes. Once cool, dust with icing sugar.
