Tilapia in a caper cream sauce


    I like quick dishes that take little effort but you wouldn't be able to tell from the taste. This recipe for tilapia in cream sauce is one of those.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g tilapia fillets, cut into slice
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • plain flour for dusting
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 150g capers
    • 235ml double cream
    • 1 pinch ground nutmeg

    1. Sprinkle each slice of tilapia with salt and pepper and dust in flour.
    2. Heat the olive oil and brown the fish for 3 minutes on each side.
    3. In the meantime bring cream to the boil in a skillet. Add a little bit of salt and season with nutmeg.
    4. Add capers and carefully add the fish. Simmer at low heat to let the cream thicken a little, about 5 minutes.
