Buckwheat is cooked and served with a creamy mushroom and onion sauce. Serve as a side to chops or as a main vegetarian dish.

250g mushrooms, sliced
200g single cream
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Cook buckwheat according to instructions on packaging.
Heat 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil in a pan over medium heat; add onion and fry until softened. Season with a pinch of salt. add sliced mushrooms and cook for 2 or 3 minutes to soften and brown.
Stir in cream and simmer the sauce for a few minutes until the cream reduces. Remove from heat and season with freshly ground back pepper.
Pour mushroom sauce on top of hot cooked buckwheat.
