200g quark, cream cheese or ricotta cheese
4 tablespoons chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons minced fresh dill
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
2 cloves garlic, crushed
salt to taste
6 tablespoons buttermilk, or as needed

Combine all ingredients except for the buttermilk in a food processor or a mortar and pestle. Pulse till well combined, then start adding the buttermilk a spoonful at a time till a spreadable consistency is reached.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
