500g chicken hearts, quartered lengthways
250g button mushrooms, quartered or sliced
salt and pepper, to taste

Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and cook and stir until soft, about 4 to 6 minutes. Add the hearts and brown them for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Cover, reduce heat and cook for about 10 minutes until no longer pink in the centre.
Combine mushrooms with hearts, mix well. Cook covered for another 5 minutes then season. Serve hot over toast or with vegetables.
