    About this recipe: This is a simple yet great way to serve this tasty vegetable. A creamy garlic and walnut sauce combines with the flavourful broccoli resulting in a great side dish.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 235ml single cream
    • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
    • 30g chopped walnuts
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 head broccoli, blanched and divided into florets
    • 1 tablespoon grated cheese

    Method

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. In a small bowl, combine the cream, mayonnaise, walnuts and garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
    3. Place the broccoli florets in a baking dish and pour over the sauce.
    4. Bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 5 more minutes until cheese melts. Remove from the oven and serve.
