This is a simple yet great way to serve this tasty vegetable. A creamy garlic and walnut sauce combines with the flavourful broccoli resulting in a great side dish.

Ingredients

235ml single cream
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
30g chopped walnuts
2 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper, to taste
1 head broccoli, blanched and divided into florets
1 tablespoon grated cheese

Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
In a small bowl, combine the cream, mayonnaise, walnuts and garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
Place the broccoli florets in a baking dish and pour over the sauce.
Bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 5 more minutes until cheese melts. Remove from the oven and serve.
