Mushroom prawn salad

    A hearty and unusual salad with button mushrooms, prawns, cheese, onion, garlic, lettuce, and mayonnaise. Easy to prepare for guests.

    Serves: 4 

    • 150g prawns
    • 1 onion, halved and sliced
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 250g button mushrooms, chopped
    • 150g lettuce leaves, torn in pieces
    • 150g cheese, shredded
    • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
    • salt and pepper to taste

    1. Cook the prawns for 2 minutes in boiling water, drain and peel.
    2. Saute onion in butter in a small pan till translucent. Add mushrooms and cook till they start to soften. Let cool.
    3. Combine the lettuce leaves, mushrooms, onion, prawns, cheese and garlic. Add mayonnaise and mix again gently. Season with salt and pepper.
