Green beans and mushrooms

    Green beans and mushrooms are a nice combination for an easy side dish for roasts and other meats.

    Serves: 4 

    • 800g green beans
    • 2 onions
    • 200g button mushrooms
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • salt and pepper to taste

    1. Blanch green beans for about 5 minutes in lightly salted water.
    2. Mince onion. Thinly slice mushrooms.
    3. Cook onion in butter until translucent, add mushrooms and cook until softened.
    4. Add green beans and cook for 2 further minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
