This broccoli and potato gratin can be made individually in moulds for an extra fancy presentation.

Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
Melt the butter in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onions and cook and stir until soft, about 6 minutes.
Bring a saucepan of water to the boil and add the potatoes. Cook until tender, about 10 to 12 minutes. Trim the broccoli and separate into florets; add to the potatoes to cook for the last 5 to 7 minutes of cooking time, until tender. Drain, chop and add to the onion.
Combine milk with eggs and flour. Add salt and pepper and add to the potato mixture and mix well. Spoon the mixture into individual ovenproof dishes such as ramekins lined with aluminium foil (these will be your moulds).
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and invert over a serving plate and remove the dish and the foil. Serve immediately.
