250g wholewheat pasta, of your choice
1 tablespoon butter
2 cloves garlic, crushed
300g king prawns, shelled and deveined
120ml white wine
240ml single cream
salt and pepper, to taste
2 rashers bacon, chopped
1 bunch parsley, finely chopped

Bring a pan of lightly salted water to the boil over a high heat. Cook the pasta for 2 minutes less than indicated on the packet. Drain.
Melt the butter in a frying pan over a medium heat and add the garlic; cook and stir for a few minutes. Add the prawns and cook for about a minute, add the wine and bring to a simmer before adding the cream, season. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.
In a separate frying pan, cook the bacon until the fat has rendered. Drain the fat and set the bacon aside.
Combine the sauce with the prawns and with the pasta, and sprinkle with bacon and fresh parsley. Spoon into warmed bowls and serve.
