Pelmeni are traditional Russian meat-filled dumplings. Making pelmeni is our favorite family past-time in the long winter months. These dumplings are a common convenience food - big batches can be frozen and quickly boiled or fried on demand.
You can also fill the pelmeni with ground turkey. If you don’t like raw onion in the filling, fry it in butter for 5 to 7 minutes on medium heat.
