    Serves: 6

    • 1 packet of easy roll puff pastry
    • 1 (400g) jar of premium mincemeat
    • demerara sugar

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min

    1. Roll out the pastry to a 40x30cm rectangle. Spread the mincemeat out thinly onto pastry. Roll pastry into a log. Cut into 2 to 3cm slices.
    2. Place rounds on lightly greased baking tray and press down on each to flatten slightly. Sprinkle the sugar onto each round. Bake for 20 minutes at 180 C / Gas 4, checking regularly to see that they do not burn.
    3. Let pinwheels cool for 5 minutes before removing from tray.

Great easy recipe, Just wondering how long will these keep in a airtight container?  -  18 Dec 2011

Sprinkled a tablespoon of ground almonds over the mincemeat to soak up the juice. Dusted with icing sugar before serving. Overall - very easy and quick to make!  -  01 Jan 2012

i made these as written and after 20mins the underside was cooked but the tops were not. I very carefully flipped them over and cooked for another 20minutes but unfortunately they stuck a bit to the baking tray. after tasting one, nobody wanted any more. pity, because they are so much easier to make than "proper" mince pies.  -  28 Nov 2013
