This is a great twist on the classic Italian dessert - a tiramisu made with cream cheese, curd cheese, fresh strawberries and lots of lime zest.

200g (about 30) lady fingers
1 lime, juiced and zested
1 lemon, juiced and zested
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 mug hot water, or as needed
250ml whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla sugar or a few drops of vanilla extract
300g curd cheese
200g cream cheese
500g fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

Place lady fingers side by side in a large glass dish or into 8 individual dessert dishes, breaking them to fit if necessary.
In a small bowl, combine lime and lemon zest with 3 tablespoons brown sugar. Mix well and set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the lime juice, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and hot water. Sprinkle lady fingers with half of that mixture.
Whip cream and vanilla sugar (or vanilla extract) until stiff peaks form.
In a separate bowl beat together curd cheese, cream cheese and lemon-lime zest mixture. Fold in whipped cream and spread half of the mixture on top of the lady fingers.
Spoon the lemon juice over the strawberries and toss to coat; arrange the strawberries on top of the cream mixture.
Add another layer of lady fingers, sprinkle with remaining lemon-lime zest mixture and top with the other half of the cream. Cut the rest of the strawberries into thin slices and arrange nicely as the top layer of the tiramisu. Cover with cling film and chill for at least 4 hours or over night.
