About this recipe:Sometimes the simple things in life are the best! This chicken curry is something I've made again and again and it has never let me down! This one is around mild to medium - so just add a bit of extra chilli powder if you're after a kick!

Heat oil in a pan, add onions and fry until well browned. Add garlic, all spices, salt and 1 to 2 tablespoons water, and fry for a further minute.
Add chicken and mix well to coat with spice mixture. Cook for around 5 minutes or until the chicken has some colour.
Add one cupful of water, cover and leave to simmer for 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
Remove lid, add passata and yoghurt and cook for 5 minutes with lid off to let the sauce thicken. If it's too thin just cook a little further to let it reduce, or add a little water if you want more sauce.
Serve with rice or naan - delicious!
