About this recipe: An easy way to make your jacket potatoes creamy and cheesy, very simple and extremely tasty! Just use table salt if you don't have any sea salt, and use any grated cheese you wish!

Makes: 4 jacket potatoes

  • 4 large jacket potatoes (already cooked and left to cool for 5 minutes)
  • 2 big handfuls of grated cheese
  • dash of milk
  • small scoop of margarine or butter
  • 4 small pinches of sea salt

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:1hr  ›  Ready in:1hr5min

  1. Once the potatoes have cooled down from coming out the oven, cut each one in half and scoop out the insides.
  2. Mash the potato until it is no longer lumpy. Add the cheese, and stir for 30 seconds. Then add the margarine or butter and stir until it has melted.
  3. Now add the milk and stir until all of the added ingredients are no longer visible (the cheese and butter should have melted).
  4. Now scoop the potato mixture and divide back into the potato skins, then they are ready to eat!

You can gradually add the milk if the mixture is difficult to stir. Try not to take much time as otherwise it will go cold.

Very nice. Easy to make ahead and re-heat in a hot oven just before serving. - 06 Feb 2015
