Chocolate sandwich biscuits

    1 hour 45 min

Those are hands down the most decadent biscuits I know. They are baked with lots of chocolate, filled with nougat cream and dipped in chocolate. Sinfully good!

    • 250g plain flour
    • 140g unsalted butter
    • 100g caster sugar
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar

    1. In a bowl combine flour, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, chocolate and eggs. Mix with your hands till smooth and holding together as a ball. Wrap into cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.
    2. Preheat oven to 175 C / Gas 3-4. Grease a baking tray or line it with baking parchment.
    3. On a lightly floured countertop thinly roll out the dough. Cut out round biscuits with a biscuit cutter or a small glass.
    4. Place biscuits on the prepared baking tray and bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Transfer the biscuits on a cooling rack and let cool down completely.
    5. Brush half of the biscuits with nougat and top with the other half.
    6. Melt the chocolate icing and dip in the filled biscuits so that they are half way covered in chocolate. Place on parchment paper until chocolate is firm.
