About this recipe: A quick dish that is a great seafood supper. Serve the cuttlefish hot as the main dish, with baked potatoes in the winter or a nice salad in the summer, or as a one dish meal.


Serves: 4 

  • 1 large egg
  • 50g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 2 tins tuna, drained
  • 1/2 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 large cuttlefish
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 240ml white wine

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
  2. In a bowl, mix the egg, cheese, breadcrumbs, the drained tuna, garlic and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Wash and clean the cuttlefish. Stuff the cuttlefish with the tuna mixture. Pour the olive oil in a large baking dish and then place the stuffed cuttlefish in the dish.
  4. Bake the cuttlefish in the oven for 10 minutes and then pour the white wine over them. Put them back in the oven and bake them for another 20 to 30 minutes.
