About this recipe: Chives and prawns make such a great combination in this dish - why not keep a pot of living herbs in your kitchen to liven up any meal?

Serves: 4 

  • 300g tagliatelle pasta
  • 50g butter
  • 1 red chilli, finely chopped
  • chopped garlic, to taste
  • 200g cooked, peeled tiger prawns
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives, from a living pot of chives
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Cook the tagliatelle in salted boiling water for 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain and return to the pan.
  2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a frying pan and add the chilli, garlic and prawns and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Toss into the tagliatelle and stir in the fresh chives and lemon juice. Season to taste.
