    About this recipe: It takes quite a while to roll out and cut biscuits. I was short time, so I just rolled them into little balls. It turned out delicious and was quick to make.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 12 chocolate biscuits

    • 125g plain flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 60g softened unsalted butter
    • 50g caster sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
    • 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
    • 1 tablespoon caster sugar

    Method

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4 and line a baking tray with parchment.
    2. In a bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add butter, 50g sugar and egg and knead into a smooth dough. Mix in chocolate chips. Divide into 12 portions, roll into little balls and place on the baking tray.
    3. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Mix 1 tablespoon sugar and vanilla sugar on a plate. Dredge biscuits in the sugar while still hot and set aside to cool.
