    About this recipe: This simple chilli uses baked beans instead of kidney beans, so is great for fussy eaters. This recipe will serve four people as part of a main meal.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • olive oil (just enough to fry off the beef)
    • 400g beef mince
    • 1 tin baked beans
    • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
    • 1 teaspoon chopped chillies
    • 1 teaspoon hot chilli powder
    • salt and black pepper to taste
    • 1 pinch cumin
    • 1 pinch fajita spice mix

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Heat the olive oil in a large deep frying pan, and brown the beef mince in it.
    2. Add the baked beans and chopped tomatoes. Throw in all the spices and mix well. Leave to heat up in the pan. Taste to check the level of spice - add more to your taste.
    3. Leave to simmer for about 15 minutes to thicken the sauce up a bit.
    4. Serve with rice, jacket potato, etc.
