About this recipe:
This simple chilli uses baked beans instead of kidney beans, so is great for fussy eaters. This recipe will serve four people as part of a main meal.
olive oil (just enough to fry off the beef)
400g beef mince
1 tin baked beans
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 teaspoon chopped chillies
1 teaspoon hot chilli powder
salt and black pepper to taste
1 pinch cumin
1 pinch fajita spice mix
- Heat the olive oil in a large deep frying pan, and brown the beef mince in it.
- Add the baked beans and chopped tomatoes. Throw in all the spices and mix well. Leave to heat up in the pan. Taste to check the level of spice - add more to your taste.
- Leave to simmer for about 15 minutes to thicken the sauce up a bit.
- Serve with rice, jacket potato, etc.
