About this recipe: This is my very easy recipe for chilli con carne. I only add 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder, but if you like it spicy, you can add more.
I made this today and tweaked it slightly, I omitted the butter dry frying the beef and onion. Once the mince had browned I added 2 tsp of ground cumin and 2 cloves of garlic along with the chilli and fried on a medium heat for 2-3 minutes. I used a 400g can of cream of tomato soup as it was all I had in and crumbled in a beef stock cube. I also left out the kidney beans as I am not a fan. I was dubious as I have never made chilli with soup but it was delicious! - 23 Sep 2014
