White and dark chocolate chip cookies

    There can never be too much chocolate, in my opinion. These cookies are made with white and dark chocolate chips, which makes them double as delicious!

    Ingredients
    Serves: 15 

    • 85g (3 oz) margarine
    • 85g (3 oz) caster sugar
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • a few drops vanilla extract
    • 170g (6 oz) self-raising flour
    • 50g (2 oz) chocolate chips (or plain chocolate, chopped)
    • 50g (2 oz) white chocolate chips (or white chocolate, chopped)

    Method

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Lightly grease two baking trays.
    2. In a large bowl, mix the margarine and butter until smooth, then add in the egg and vanilla. Stir in the flour and chocolate chips.
    3. Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto baking trays and flatten slightly with the back of a fork.
    4. Bake in oven for 12 to 15 minutes until light golden brown.
    5. Remove from baking trays and place on a wire rack to cool.
