About this recipe: This Nutella® cake is a light fluffy cake that will make you drool! Good for people with a sweet tooth.

Makes: 1 cake

  • 200g margarine or butter
  • 200g self raising flour
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 2 to 3 eggs, depending on your mixture
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons Nutella®
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 splash of milk, depending on your mixture

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease two sandwich tins.
  2. Combine margarine and butter and beat well. Beat in the sugar and continue beating till light and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition. Stir in the Nutella® and vanilla. Finally, stir in the flour. If the cake mixture is too thick, add a splash of milk. Divide the mixture between the two tins.
  3. Bake the cakes till a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
  4. Put the cakes onto a the cooling rack, leave till cool. Ice if you wish.
