About this recipe: Plan ahead when making this tea bread, because you have to soak the sultanas and raisins overnight. If you like, make a double batch and freeze one of the loaves.
This worked very well - it made two fair sized loaves, one to eat and one to freeze. I didn't soak the fruit overnight, as I wanted it quickly, and I used hot tea - it all worked fine. I did add a good handful of walnut pieces to give it extra oomph - of course that meant it had some fat in it! Very yummy. - 24 Jun 2013
