About this recipe: This layered crab dip is creamy, spicy and salty all at once. Sure to delight your guests, and easy to make ahead.

Serves: 8 

  • 450g (1 lb) softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 (210g) tins white crab meat
  • 1 bottle chilli sauce, or to taste
  • 1 handful chopped fresh parsley

  1. Mix the cream cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise and garlic powder in a bowl. Spread on to a plate so that the layer is 0.6cm thick.
  2. Spread chilli sauce on top of cream cheese mixture then top with crab meat. Chill in the fridge until firm, 1 to 2 hours.
  3. Decorate with chopped parsley and serve with biscuits, toast or baguette.
