Morning coffee buns

    What better for your next coffee morning than these delectable little buns. Quick to make and studded with fruit, you'll find it hard to just have one.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 24 buns

    • 110g (4 oz) butter
    • 110g (4 oz) sugar
    • 1 small or 1/2 large egg
    • 225g (8 oz) self raising flour
    • 55g (2 oz) dried fruit

    Method
    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6. Lightly grease a baking tray.
    2. Mix the butter, sugar, egg, flour and dried fruit in a bowl. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough until it comes together. Divide the mixture into 20 to 24 balls and place on the prepared baking tray.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven until golden, about 10 minutes.
