    About this recipe: Smooth, creamy and silky pepper sauce, made with whisky, Worcestershire, mustard and cream. Add mushrooms if liked!

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 1 small red onion, sliced
    • 2 pots double cream
    • 2 tablespoons whisky
    • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
    • 1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Sweat off sliced onion in a bit of butter or oil. In a separate pan heat cream (not boil) and add all other ingredients to the cream. Simmer, stirring occasionally.
    2. Drain onion and add to mixture, and serve immediately with steak.

    Tip

    You can turn this into a mushroom sauce by adding sliced mushrooms to the onions.
