About this recipe: A tasty, budget friendly dish, that kids and adults love. Depending on the strength and maturity of the cheese, vary the amount according to taste.

Serves: 2 

  • 110g (4 oz) macaroni
  • 110g to 225g (4 to 8 oz) grated cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 300ml (1/2 pt) milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • mustard powder to taste

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease an ovenproof casserole dish.
  2. In a large saucepan of lightly salted, boiling water, cook the macaroni until 'al dente'. Drain.
  3. Mix cooked macaroni with cheese, eggs and milk. Season with salt, pepper and mustard powder to taste. Transfer to prepared casserole dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
