Put rice on to boil using method 1 cupful of rice to 2 cupfuls of water and bring to the boil.
While waiting, dice up peppers, onions, garlic and bacon or gammon. Heat frying pan and fry together until cooked through and put to one side.
Once rice has begun to boil, bring heat down, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes or until rice is cooked. Drain rice and put back in large pot.
Heat tomato soup until piping hot and pour over rice, bit by bit. Add enough that the rice is a lovely orange colour but not drenched in soup and runny.
Add fried bacon, onions, garlic and peppers to the rice then finally add salt and pepper and garlic salt and 1 tin of drained marrowfat peas. Stir well making sure soup and veg thoroughly mixed through and serve!
Sometimes i put in dish cover in cheese and bake in oven for 10 minutes.
