White and milk chocolate cheesecake

    I had never really made cheese cake before. I thought I'd try it. It was my daughter's birthday and everyone fought over the last slice. My son-in-law said I don't want any thing for my birthday just make me this cheesecake. I was well chuffed.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 scant pack milk chocolate digestive biscuits, crushed
    • 50g butter, melted
    • 1 bar good quality white chocolate, melted
    • 1 (200g) tub cream cheese
    • 1 (200g) tub chocolate cream cheese, such as Philadelphia® with Cadbury®
    • milk chocolate to decorate

    1. Combine crushed biscuits and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a loose bottomed cake tin. Smooth down with the back of a spoon. Chill in the fridge till cool and set.
    2. Combine the melted white chocolate with the plain cream cheese. Set aside.
    3. Once the base is set, spread the chocolate cream cheese over the base. Top with the white chocolate cheese mixture. Place back in fridge and chill thoroughly before serving.
    4. Just before serving, decorate the top with milk chocolate curls or grated chocolate.


    I buy a good quality white chocolate with a hint of vanilla. I also melt it in microwave. But be careful when doing this as it can burn quickly. Chop the white chocolate and melt it using short 20 second intervals.

    very tasty i would make this again but i used 100g extra white chocolate this makes it taste better  -  19 Feb 2014
